Early Years and Childcare Professionals!

Please be aware tickets are selling fast for the Wirral Early Years Conference 2021; My Child Can… Have a bright future. We have added Sarah Neville and Julia Manning Morton to the impressive line up of speakers.

The sessions are spread across two weeks starting on Friday 15th October 21’ and ending Friday 22nd October 21’. You will need to book onto each workshop that you wish to attend, each session is £15.

Workshop 1: Julian Grenier – headteacher of Sheringham Nursery School and Children’s Centre in Newham, East London and also a National Leader of Education, one of the co-founders of the East London Partnership Teaching School Alliance. Julian  was appointed by the Department for Education to lead on the 2020 revision of Development Matters, the non-statutory guidance for the Early Years Foundation Stage in England.

Workshop 2: Jan Dubiel – a nationally and internationally recognised specialist in Early Childhood Education. He was identified by the Times Educational Supplement as one of the ten most influential people in British education in 2018

Workshop 3: Dr Suzanne Zeedyk – a research scientist fascinated by babies’ innate capacity to communicate.  Suzanne now works closely with organisations throughout the world, holding on to the same goal with which she set out:  We need to increase awareness of the decisions we take about caring for children, because they are integrally connected to our vision for the kind of society we wish to build. 

Workshop 4: Honor Coombs – has been teaching children with special educational needs and disabilities for more than thirty years. Much of Honor’s work has involved the development and delivery of individualised interventions for children with very unique needs across all age ranges.

Workshop 5: Julia Manning -Morton –Julia Manning-Morton is an independent early years consultant whose research and writing focuses on the personal, social and emotional well-being of children and on the development and learning of children birth to three years.

Workshop 6: Simon Ward – After successfully closing out the 2020 Wirral Early Years Conference, Simon Ward returns for the 2021 conference alongside colleague Pauline Mellor, to discuss the impact of covid on early years children. Simon Ward is a Senior Educational Psychologist on the Wirral where his specialism is mental health and well-being.

Workshop 7: Sarah Neville – has been an independent Ofsted registered childminder for over 26 years, 3 times graded outstanding. She has written an impressive library of e-books on a huge range of subjects as a writer for Childcare.co.uk, childcare magazines and other publications.
