This session will be delivered by the rangers at Birkenhead Park and will focus on the Outdoor Curriculum

• What is outdoor learning and its benefits
• Learning theories and how they are applied in outdoor learning
• Health & safety – including risk/benefit assessments and ecological impact assessment
• Mapping outdoor learning to a range of curricular areas/development stages to bring back into the classroom
• Areas for outdoor learning and how they can be utilised to their full potential

Please note: This session will be delivered outdoors so please wear appropriate clothing and bring a water bottle if needed.
