The Graduated Approach for PVI’S and Childminders

This course is for PVI practitioners newly appointed to the role of SENCO in their setting, or current SENCO’s wishing to update their knowledge and understanding of the role.  It is also suitable for practitioners who are involved in completing EY SEND paperwork working with children with SEND. The course will provide the knowledge and skills required to ensure SENCO’s are meeting the needs of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

The course will discuss:

·         SEND Code of Practice and the graduated approach

·         The role of the SENCO and key person in supporting a child with SEND

·         Early identification and early intervention through the graduated approach

·         EY SEND paperwork

·         EY SEND Team offer of support for settings

·         SENDLO
