This is an online course for Childminders who wish to develop their knowledge and the skills required to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

The course will discuss:

• Statutory requirements relating to children with SEND in early years settings

• The importance of high quality inclusive practice for all children

• Identifying and responding to children with special educational needs and/or disability

• The graduated approach and relevant paperwork

• Elements required to develop effective partnerships with parents and carers

• Professionals or agencies beyond the setting

• EHC needs assessments and plans

• Support transitions for children with SEND
